Seth’s Story

Seth smilingAt six years old in the summer of 2017, Seth was diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia called Ph+ ALL. This stands for Philadelphia Chromosome Positive Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). This is a rare subtype of leukemia that only 5% of children with ALL have.

Seth is being treated at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. The chemo gave him fevers, nausea and fatigue and so much more including multiple stays in the PICU. Seth touched death’s door numerous times and was in the hospital for months at a time. In November, 2017 he was able to go home but continues to be in and out of the hospital due to chemo treatments and their effects. He and his family have a long road ahead.

“My friend had talked me into allowing Here To Serve to help me because I was overwhelmed at the time with people wanting to help and me not knowing how to organize it. It is nice to have an amazing support system and help organizing all the wonderful people who want to help!”
