Zein is an active and vibrant little boy. In 2013, just a few months before his sixth birthday, Zein was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a rare form of childhood cancer that affects the nerve tissues/cells. At the time of his diagnosis, Zein was getting ready to test for his red belt in Tae Kwon Do and graduate from Kindergarten.
After chemo treatment too numerous to count, immunotherapy, radiation, surgery, clinical trials and periods of remission, Zein has relapsed twice and continues his cancer fight. Here to Serve is there to help the family manage their life, provide resources, respite trips and organize family, friends and loved ones who want to provide support but don’t always know how. The family insists on fighting cancer with a smile, extreme faith and strength.
